O Presidente de Moçambique, Filipe Nyusi, declarou ontem, dia 30 de Março, estado de emergência, como forma de o país lidar com a pandemia do novo coronavírus.
O estado de emergência estará em vigor entre 1 e 30 de Abril e os detalhes do mesmo serão oportunamente divulgados, disse Nyusi.
O decreto carece da ratificação da Assembleia da República, órgão que já recebeu a fundamentação de Nyusi.
Na declaração à nação, Nyusi elogiou os trabalhadores da saúde pelo esforço que fazem na luta contra o novo coronavírus.
O Presidente exortou a população a cumprir as medidas determinadas pelas autoridades, a manter-se calma e a seguir a informação divulgada pelo Ministério da Saúde e pela Organização Mundial da Saúde.
