As Linhas Aéreas de Moçambique (LAM), através dos seus canais de vendas electrónicos, registaram um crescimento ao longo dos primeiros seis meses do ano em curso, impulsionado pela preferência em compras online, devido ao surgimento de novas variantes do covid-19.
Dados apresentados pela companhia aérea, citados pelo “O País”, demonstram um incremento nas vendas online de 19% no primeiro semestre de 2021, comparativamente a 2020. Ainda, nesta plataforma, o serviço de “check-in online”, registou uma subida de 73%, com 54 751 passageiros que aderiram a este serviço, no primeiro semestre de 2021 contra 31 699 passageiros, de 2020.
Entretanto, no decurso do mês de Julho último, a LAM registou um índice de pontualidade operacional de 88%, num universo de 698 partidas, significando um crescimento de 10 pontos percentuais em relação ao mês de Junho, onde a pontualidade registada foi de 78% para um total de 656 partidas. De entre as escalas analisadas no período, destacaram-se as de Chimoio, Inhambane e Vilankulo, todas com 100% e Joanesburgo com 97% de pontualidade.
Sobre os passageiros, a LAM assinala que a companhia transportou em Julho de 2021 um total de 32 284 passageiros, contra os 37 952 passageiros transportados no anterior mês de Junho, representando deste modo um decréscimo de 15%. Em igual período de 2020 (Julho), a LAM transportou 14 721 passageiros.
Na vertente de receita, registou, no mês de Julho, um decréscimo de 18%, em comparação com o mês de Junho de 2021. Porém, ao compararmos com igual período de 2020, houve um crescimento de 108%.
As cinco rotas com maior tráfego de passageiros foram Maputo-Nampula-Maputo, com 6 722; Maputo-Beira-Maputo, com 6 037; Maputo-Tete-Maputo, com 3 675; Maputo-Pemba-Maputo com 3.948 e Maputo-Quelimane-Maputo, com 3 034.
