A Ernst & Young (EY) participou na 1ª Feira de Emprego da Universidade Eduardo Mondlane (UEM), que decorreu na quinta-feira, dia 4 de Maio, no complexo pedagógico daquela universidade.
A iniciativa, que reuniu 44 empresas de referência no mercado moçambicano e cerca de 1500 alunos de várias instituições académicas, teve como principal objectivo proporcionar a interacção entre os estudantes e o meio profissional, e abrir portas para o futuro.
A Feira contou com a cooperação da Universidade Michigan State University que contribuiu através de apoio técnico, e com a parceria da agência USAID – United States Agency for International Development, que auxiliou através de recursos financeiros.
Paulo Reis, Sócio-Gerente do Escritório EY em Maputo e líder do Departamento de Auditoria da Ernst & Young, deu a nota de boas-vindas aos estudantes, mencionando a importância das empresas estarem em contacto directo com a população académica.
Ao longo do evento, a EY realizou actividades de recrutamento e leccionou uma palestra, onde deu a conhecer as linhas de serviço da Consultora, e ainda o testemunho de alguns colaboradores que ali trabalham. “Queremos cultivar o interesse nos jovens para as áreas de actuação onde operamos, contribuir para o seu crescimento e mostrar que na EY poderão encontrar a oportunidade de emprego que procuram”, referiu Nuno Taibo, Director Executivo da área de Consultoria da EY Moçambique.
“Acreditamos que esta feira irá dar a conhecer a Ernst & Young e outras empresas que operam em Moçambique, permitindo que os jovens explorem diferentes caminhos profissionais e descubram áreas de interesse que talvez não tenham considerado anteriormente”, afirmou Betuel Canhanga, Director do Registo académico da UEM.
A UEM, com o apoio da Universidade Púnguè e do Instituto Superior Politécnico de Manica, discutiu qual o melhor modelo de feira de emprego, ajustado à realidade do país.
Há mais de 30 anos em Moçambique, a EY tem como objectivo apoiar o desenvolvimento profissional dos jovens moçambicanos para que possam pôr em prática os seus conhecimentos e a sua experiência, de forma a contribuir para o desenvolvimento do país.
