ARENE continua a monitorar preços internacionais de petróleo, diz Paulo da Graça
A Autoridade Reguladora de Energia (ARENE) garante que vai continuar a monitorar a evolução dos preços dos combustíveis no mercado internacional, visando assegurar a sustentabilidade das importações dos produtos petrolíferos e sua distribuição no país.
Paulo da Graça, Presidente do Conselho de Administração da ARENE, disse ontem, que neste momento continua a haver muita incerteza em relação as previsões do preço do barril de petróleo no mercado internacional, que além da interacção entre a procura e a oferta, também depende de situações ligadas aos factores geopolíticos e de especulação.
Disse ainda que um dos factores mais importantes do lado da oferta que, seguramente, irá afectar os preços nos próximos meses, é o resultado das negociações de paz entre a Rússia e a Ucrânia, que caso não ocorram, o custo de importação dos combustíveis pode continuar a crescer.
Sem precisar o que pode acontecer no futuro, a fonte considera que todos os moçambicanos precisam estar preparados, até porque, a Lei que regula a comercialização dos produtos petrolíferos no país preconiza a necessidade de haver revisão dos preços mensalmente.
