Três novas salas de aulas construídas no âmbito do programa de Responsabilidade Social do Millennium bim “Mais Moçambique pra Mim”, vão permitir o acesso de 800 alunos e professores ao ensino e aprendizagem no norte de Moçambique.
No âmbito do programa de Responsabilidade Social do Millennium bim “Mais Moçambique pra Mim”, o Governador da Província de Cabo Delgado, Valige Tauabo inaugurou, no dia 22 de Novembro, na localidade de Marocane, no Distrito de Ancuabe, Província de Cabo Delgado, um edifício composto por três salas de aulas. Este acto resulta do compromisso do Millennium bim no apoio ao desenvolvimento educacional em Moçambique.
Esta iniciativa contou ainda com a participação de Clientes do Banco que, através de uma campanha de angariação de fundos que decorreu nas ATM e no Mobile Banking, de forma solidária, tiveram a oportunidade de contribuir significativamente para o apetrechamento da escola.
Este apoio vai beneficiar, por um lado, os cerca de 800 alunos, bem como professores, que não se encontram integrados no processo de ensino e aprendizagem devido à falta de infra-estruturas; e, por outro lado, irá apoiar a ampliação e execução do plano de reconstruir esta província e prover condições dignas à sua população. O apoio contempla ainda um kit de material escolar, para possibilitar que estes alunos continuem com seus estudos.
O Millennium bim, comprometido com o desenvolvimento económico e social de Moçambique, reforçou o seu investimento em iniciativas que contribuem para o progresso e formação das gerações vindouras.
Durante a cerimónia de inauguração, Valige Tauabo, Governador da Província de Cabo Delgado, realçou a importância do apoio de privados na reconstrução de Cabo Delgado, que simboliza a solidariedade e a esperança, porquanto “esta infra-estrutura vai beneficiar 854 alunos, dos quais 389 de sexo feminino, sendo 754 alunos de famílias de deslocados vítimas de terrorismo”. Por outro lado, o edifício erguido “vai aumentar, não só a nossa capacidade em prover ambiente de ensino e aprendizagem melhorados, infra-estrutura resiliente, mas também melhorar as condições no âmbito de prevenção da COVID-19, uma doença que devemos continuar a prevenir, seguindo as recomendações das autoridades de Saúde”, realçou o Governador de Cabo Delgado.
Por sua vez, para José Mesquita, Director Coordenador Norte do Millennium bim, esta iniciativa reforça o compromisso do Banco com as comunidades que se encontram em situações de vulnerabilidade. Portanto, “com este gesto, o Millennium bim pretende continuar a contribuir significativamente para potenciar o processo de ensino e aprendizagem, assegurando um futuro promissor para todos os jovens alunos moçambicanos”.
Mesquita não deixou de exaltar a generosidade e confiança dos Clientes do Banco, demonstradas na disponibilização de recursos para uma causa nobre e urgente, sendo, por isso, dignas da admiração e gratidão do Millennium bim. Neste contexto, o Director Coordenador Norte do Millennium bim endereçou “um caloroso e especial abraço de agradecimento a todos os Clientes que quiseram contribuir através dos Canais Digitais do Banco”.
