As nossas acções e pensamentos são causa e efeito de um processo de “negócio”, de troca e venda de coisas! Antigamente, o negócio acontecia por troca directa de produtos, onde a mercadoria era avaliada na quantidade de tempo ou força de trabalho gasta para produzi-la ou até mesmo pela necessidade que o “comprador” tinha por determinada mercadoria, para que a troca acontecesse com justiça.
Desde sempre, Comprar, Vender e Dinheiro são irmãos inseparáveis, por isso antes de sabermos o que vamos comprar ou o que iremos vender, vale a pena analisarmos e compreendermos o que é comprar ou o que é vender. Melhor, o que representa o acto de comprar ou vender e como ele na prática se manifesta, uma vez que representa um dos principais pilares de conhecimento da Educação Financeira. É quase impossível pensar e falar de dinheiro sem se pensar em comprar ou vender alguma coisa!
Os dicionários da língua portuguesa caracterizam o termo comprar como sendo: “adquirir um bem, ou serviço mediante pagamento”, mas não se discrimine nem se limite o pagamento somente ao dinheiro. Com base na história sobre a origem e evolução de dinheiro, facilmente concordamos que podemos pagar um determinado bem ou serviço com recurso a outro bem ou serviço em nossa posse, diferente do dinheiro convencional. Tal como diz Michael Sandel, “a lógica da compra e da venda tem governado cada vez mais questões da sociedade, e isso estaria ocorrendo por medo de nos confrontarmos uns com os outros e de expormos nossos valores”.
O comprar é também sinónimo de conseguir, alcançar (algo) como resultado de uma acção ou situação, acreditar em ou aceitar uma desculpa, bem como aceitar ou concordar com uma explicação. Ficando claro que comprar vai além da simples troca de um determinado bem concreto ou abstracto por dinheiro, fazendo com que comprar e vender constituam um processo humano prático, interpessoal ou intrapessoal, um acto intencional de troca de coisas reais ou abstractas. Como defende João Sayd (2015), no seu livro “Dinheiro, Dinheiro”: A operação de empréstimo financeiro pode ser vista, e é, como uma operação no mercado futuro de dinheiro, onde é possível comprar dinheiro hoje para devolver no futuro.
Comprar e vender representam um acto intencional porque só podemos comprar ou vender alguma coisa que realmente queremos ou desejamos obter ou dar, seja esta tal coisa real ou abstracta, seja este tal desejo, vontade ou necessidade verdade ou não, e para tal operação, concordamos e manifestamos a troca. Neste sentido, o comprar e vender não precisam necessariamente estar condicionados a presença do dinheiro convencional (dinheiro moeda ou papel). Temos deste modo quatro modelos de compra e venda, quatro formatos de troca de bens materiais versus bens abstractos, especificamente: material por material; material por abstracto; abstracto por material e abstracto por abstracto.
Material por Material – é um acto de compra e venda onde o comprador entrega ao vendedor um determinado bem material e em troca recebe um outro determinado bem material. É o tipo de comercialização mais antiga que existe. Tendo começado por um comércio feito sem envolvimento do dinheiro convencional, havendo a troca directa de produtos, troca directa de bens materiais, caracteriza-se por ambos bens serem concretos, físicos e reais. Se assumirmos que pelo menos um dos bens físicos é o dinheiro convencional (dinheiro moeda ou papel), então estaremos a falar de acto convencional de compra e venda de bens.
Material por Abstrato – é um acto de compra e venda onde o comprador entrega ao vendedor um determinado bem material e em troca recebe um outro determinado bem abstracto. Diferente do modelo anterior, este caracteriza-se por aceitar na troca um recurso não palpável, descrevendo-se por envolver um bem não físico, ocorrendo a troca de um bem material por outro bem não concreto. Quando pagamos um serviço qualquer, quando pagamos a assistência médica, compramos bilhete de transporte público ou táxi, ou quando pagamos por uma assistência de sexo ou protecção física, estamos neste modelo de compra e venda. Quando oferecemos um presente físico a alguém na esperança de conquistamos em troca uma simples satisfação, estamos neste modelo de compra e venda.
Abstracto por Material – é um acto de compra e venda onde o comprador entrega ao vendedor um determinado bem abstracto e em troca recebe um outro determinado bem material. Similar ao modelo anterior – “material por abstracto” -, neste verifica-se a alteração de posições versus o objecto em causa. Quando oferecemos as nossas horas de trabalho e consultoria (recursos abstractos) a uma empresa na esperança de conquistarmos em troca no final do dia ou no mês um bom ordenado, estamos neste modelo de compra e venda.
Abstracto por Abstracto – é um acto de compra e venda onde o comprador entrega ao vendedor um determinado bem abstracto e em troca recebe um outro determinado bem abstracto. O tipo de compra e venda realmente mais complicada, porque dispensa por completo o bem material, o bem concreto (dinheiro moeda e papel), trabalhando somente com dinheiros abstractos. Quando ofereço o meu tempo, a minha atenção, a minha solidariedade, a minha amizade, ou o meu carinho (recursos abstractos) a um amigo ou familiar, espero em troca o meu amigo ou familiar beneficiário me dê o mesmo ou, no mínimo, o melhor de si. Um debate político, um debate religioso, uma conversa amigável, uma conversa ou discussão amorosa, uma conversa comercial, uma entrevista de emprego, uma auto-reflexão ou auto-análise, uma oração, uma confissão, há sempre alguma coisa (abstracta ou concreta) que cada interveniente pretende dar e obter destes diálogos ou monólogos.
Saber que o processo de compra e venda não se limita ao recurso dinheiro, é de extrema importância para se compreender que educação financeira não se limita ao dinheiro. E é por isso que, de forma incansável, temos dito que educação financeira é muito mais que educação de dinheiro, é a capacidade que o ser-humano tem para tomar as melhores decisões na utilização e multiplicação de recursos financeiros, mantendo o equilíbrio entre a razão e emoção.
Por outro lado, saber que o processo de compra e venda não se limita ao recurso dinheiro, é de extrema importância para que o empreendedor e o empresário saibam valorizar e usar os diferentes recursos que possuem, não se limitando ao dinheiro como recurso de compra e venda. Este é um típico exemplo de como marcas e informações têm valor e podem ser vendidas e trocadas por outros bens, apoderando-se dos quatro modelos de compra e venda.
A vida é um negócio porque passamos o tempo todo a tomar decisões do que aceitar, adquirir, conquistar, dar, oferecer ou transmitir. Em geral, passamos a vida a vender e a comprar coisas físicas e não físicas, e este processo faz parte da Educação Financeira. Temos na Bíblia um exemplo interessante deste processo, em Provérbios 23:23: “Compra a verdade, a sabedoria, a disciplina e a inteligência, e não as vendas por preço algum!”
