Absa reforça o seu compromisso com o Mozambique Fashion Week na promoção do talento nacional
Arrancou esta Terça-feira, em Maputo, a 17ª edição do Mozambique Fashion Week (MFW), consagrado como o maior evento de moda nacional, o MFW deste ano comporta uma diversidade de actividades, que estabelecem o casamento entre a moda e a cultura com o objectivo de criar um ecossistema sustentável para a promoção de talentos e marcas moçambicanas lançando-as além-fronteiras, e contando com a presença do Absa como parceiro (ou banco) oficial.
Tânia Oliveira, Directora de Serviço ao Cliente do Absa frisou a importância desta parceria ao mencionar que “o mundo, as pessoas e as marcas estão em constante mudança e evolução para o melhor. A nossa parceria com o MFW para além de estar totalmente alinhada com a nossa estratégia de cidadania e com o nosso posicionamento na implementação dos objectivos de desenvolvimento sustentável, permite-nos contribuir para a promoção da cultura nacional e levar os novos talentos além-fronteiras.”
Por seu turno Vasco Rocha , Director Geral da DDB Moçambique, entidade organizadora do evento, enfatizou o papel deste evento ao acrescentar que “o MFW veio mostrar-nos que é possível identificar e valorizar jovens talentos moçambicanos, e de certa maneira influenciar a sociedade a olhar de uma forma diferente para a indústria da moda que está em crescimento e a valorizar cada vez mais as questões de igualdade de género, inclusão, equidade e diversidade, ao mesmo tempo que dinamizamos acções de consciencialização para o uso de materiais reutilizáveis e sustentáveis. Ter uma entidade como o Absa como parceiro, é a prova de que as grandes corporações estão cada vez mais preocupadas com estas questões e que em conjunto temos oportunidades de potenciar a promoção da arte e da cultura e até levar além fronteiras.

Referir que o MFW e o Absa têm estado a desenvolver diversas acções de apoio aos estilistas moçambicanos. O ano passado, o Banco transformou o seu balcão Premier, em Maputo, numa galeria de moda, promovendo um grupo de 18 estilistas, que puderam expor as suas criações naquela que viria a ser a maior montra da moda do País. Paralelamente, instituiu, o prémio ´Africanicidade`, desafiando os artistas a apresentarem um conceito que representasse as raízes africanas, no contexto do pan-africanismo e valorização das origens que acabou por expor uma colecção de artefactos do conceituado Malangatana.
