Rede Aga Khan e Município de Oeiras oferecem material médico e de proteção individual a Moçambique
A Rede Aga Khan para o Desenvolvimento e o Município de Oeiras ofereceram equipamento médico e de proteção individual a Moçambique no âmbito das medidas de prevenção combate à COVID-19 e para o apoio aos hospitais que servem o norte do país.
No seguimento das suas acções conjuntas de cooperação com os Países Africanos de Língua Oficial Portuguesa (PALOP), a Rede Aga Khan para o Desenvolvimento (AKDN) e a Câmara Municipal de Oeiras entregaram ao Embaixador de Moçambique em Portugal 2 ventiladores, 10 mil máscaras cirúrgicas e 12 mil máscaras reutilizáveis para o apoio ao combate à COVID- 19.
Foram igualmente doados 3 equipamentos de análise laboratorial e 2 microscópios ao Hospital de Ibo, bem como cerca de 400 embalagens de complexos vitamínicos infantis que se destinam ao norte do país, uma região que atravessa um período de grande instabilidade que tem provocado o deslocamento de populações.
A Associação Kanimambo juntou-se igualmente a esta iniciativa, entregando ao Embaixador de Moçambique 300 protetores solares e 100 chapéus tipo “panamá” que serão distribuídos pela população local.
A cerimónia de entrega deste equipamento teve lugar no passado dia 3 de julho, na Delegação do Imamat Ismaili, em Lisboa.
Esta doação insere-se num conjunto de acções que visaram vários PALOP, com o objetivo de dar resposta à crise sanitária provocada pelo COVID-19, colmatando as necessidades sentidas no acesso a equipamento de tratamento médico e proteção individual.
A iniciativa solidária para com os PALOP representa um investimento conjunto total superior a 700 mil euros.
