Projecto “Penso Escola” vence 11ª edição das Olimpíadas Bancárias Millennium Bim
A 11ª edição das Olimpíadas bancárias Millennium Bim elegeu a Escola Secundária Nelson Mandela como vencedora por se destacar pela apresentação e aplicabilidade do Projecto “Penso Escola”, que visa capacitar as raparigas através da distribuição de produtos sustentáveis de higiene e da disseminação de informações baseadas em factos sobre saúde e direitos sexuais e reprodutivos.
Em Segundo lugar, destacou-se a Escola Secundária Eng. Filipe Nyusi com o Projeto “Aviário Escolar”, que visa a produção e venda de ovos, enquanto que o terceiro lugar coube à Escola Secundária do Aeroporto com o Projecto “Eco School”, destinado a prestar serviços referentes a excursão aos principais pontos turísticos da Cidade de Maputo, através de uma plataforma de digital.
Na ocasião, o Administrador Executivo do Millennium bim, Albino Andrade, considerou “A orientação educacional que dedicamos neste programa materializa-se com o intuito de contribuir para os alunos alcançarem o seu desenvolvimento pleno como cidadãos e como estudantes, através de uma relação harmoniosa entre a escola e o meio social”. O Administrador destacou ainda que “estamos cientes que os conhecimentos que foram partilhados nesta edição referentes á conservação do meio ambiente à luz dos princípios de sustentabilidade e finanças verdes serão relevantes para construção do saber e enriquecimento das aptidões”.
A Escola Secundária Nelson Mandela, vencedora desta edição, foi premiada com o valor de 100mil meticais para a implementação do projecto “Penso Escola”, kit composto por um telemóvel e material didático aos alunos que participaram no projecto vencedor.
Participaram ainda das Olimpíadas Bancárias Millennium Bim as Escolas Secundárias da Catembe; Incassane; Munhuana; Malhampsene; Matlemele; Bonifácio Groveta e Nkobe, englobando neste panorama, cerca de 40 alunos que se fizeram a final da jornada. Os alunos das escolas participantes receberam um diploma e um kit com material escolar.
As Olimpíadas Bancárias Millennium bim é um projecto de literacia financeira que teve início em 2010 e insere-se no programa de responsabilidade social “Mais Moçambique pra mim”, com o intuito de promover a educação e formação dos jovens moçambicanos através da introdução de conceitos bancários e de gestão de finanças pessoais, que promovam a sua inclusão financeira na sociedade. O projecto já abrangeu mais de 4.000 alunos, 200 professores em mais 100 escolas secundárias da cidade e província de Maputo e Gaza.
