O Director de Tesouraria do Absa Bank Moçambique, Alberto Pitoro, considera que a indústria de Petróleo e Gás poderá representar uma nova oportunidade de investimento para os Fundos de Pensões no país e elevar o número de empresas moçambicanas cotadas na Bolsa de Valores.
Pitoro defendeu este posicionamento no 5º Webinar da Cimeira Digital de Fundos de Pensões e Investimentos de Moçambique, realizada sob o lema “Explorando Oportunidades de Investimento para Fundos de Pensões em Moçambique e no Estrangeiro”.
“Os Fundos de Pensões Complementares investiriam em empresas ligadas ao sector de Oil & Gas através da Bolsa. O investimento através da bolsa permitiria que os Fundos de Pensões Complementares se posicionassem para beneficiar dos investimentos do sector industrial extractivo, sem incorrerem em riscos de liquidez excessivos, pois poderão adquirir e vender as acções sempre que tal se mostrar adequado” explicou Alberto Pitoro.
Pitoro entende também que o mercado financeiro nacional precisa desenvolver-se mais, oferecendo alternativas adequadas para colmatar os desafios inerentes aos investimentos em Moçambique, entre os quais, os de diversificação e activos de longo prazo.
“O volume de investimento dos fundos de pensões em acções é inferior a 10%. Pode ser que com a recente emissão da Hidroeléctrica de Cahora-Bassa o volume tenha aumentado, mas certamente situa-se abaixo do limite máximo permitido por lei. O investimento em imóveis também é bastante baixo”, referiu.
Pitoro realçou ainda a importância da formação para o sucesso e sustentabilidade dos Fundos de Pensões Complementares.
“É sempre necessário que haja um entendimento e um alinhamento entre todas as partes interessadas, entre os quais beneficiários, comissões de acompanhamento, entidades gestoras, entre outros”, recomendou, aludindo igualmente a preponderância do conhecimento para a exploração de investimentos [por parte dos fundos de pensões moçambicanos] nos mercados internacionais.
“Recomenda-se que esse acesso seja através de um gestor de fundos/investimentos especializado e familiarizado com os mercados internacionais, dada a complexidade do processo.”, advertiu.
Por seu turno, Allister Langford, Director do Grupo Unisure, que é accionista da Mediplus Moçambique, defendeu que em Moçambique os Fundos e as Entidades Gestoras devem cooperar mais de modo a buscar melhores oportunidades de investimento.
