Millennium bim junta-se à causa da sensibilização para o combate à caça furtiva e conservação da Biodiversidade
Memorando de Entendimento entre o Banco e a Reciclagem & Serviços (R&S) marca mais um compromisso do Millennium bim no apoio às iniciativas de protecção à Biodiversidade e conservação do meio ambiente
O Millennium bim procedeu, hoje, em Maputo, à assinatura do memorando de entendimento do projecto “Muro da Biodiversidade”. Esta iniciativa tem como objectivo promover a pintura de cerca de 40 murais sobre a fauna bravia, marinha e flora moçambicanas.
Os murais reabilitados e pintados, vão estar localizados à saída do Aeroporto Internacional, e visam transformar a zona no primeiro “postal” da bela Cidade de Maputo e do País, tendo por principais mensagens aos visitantes e residentes a sensibilização para o combate à caça furtiva em Moçambique, a promoção da conservação da Biodiversidade, a protecção aos ecossistemas marinhos, florestais e o meio ambiente no geral.
Para além da R&S, entidade com a qual o Millennium bim assinou o Memorando de Entendimento, no âmbito deste projecto, a iniciativa compreende parceiros institucionais públicos, designadamente Aeroportos de Moçambique, Ministério da Terra e Ambiente, através da Administração Nacional das Áreas de Conservação, e Conselho Municipal da Cidade de Maputo.
Para o Administrador do Millennium bim, Albino Andrade, “o combate à caça furtiva e a conservação da Biodiversidade em Moçambique impõem um contínuo investimento na área e exigem um verdadeiro compromisso de todos. É por se rever nesta necessidade premente, em busca da sustentabilidade, que o Banco decidiu juntar-se a este e tantos outros projectos inerentes à promoção de protecção aos ecossistemas. A sustentabilidade faz parte dos valores essenciais da nossa cultura corporativa e estamos cientes e confiantes de que as nossas acções podem agregar valor e fazer a diferença”.
