O Fundo Nacional de Desenvolvimento Sustentável (FNDS) entregou, esta quinta-feira, 44 tractores, com as respectivas alfaias agrícolas, a famílias de doze distritos da província de Zambézia, entre os quais Morrumbala, Derre, Mocuba, Namacurra e Nicoadala.
A entrega foi feita através do projecto Sustenta, liderado pelo Ministério da Agricultura e Desenvolvimento Rural (MADER), para impulsionar a agricultura mecanizada na campanha 2021/2022 e contribuir para a mitigação da pobreza através da inclusão das famílias rurais, com destaque para os pequenos agricultores comerciais emergentes (paces).
Igualmente, foram alocados 12 camiões para os comerciantes. Fundamentalmente, os meios são utilizados para escoar produtos agrícolas das zonas de produção até ao mercado, contribuindo, assim, para que os agricultores tenham mercado assegurado.
Isabel Caetano, beneficiária de tractor, fez saber que a sua produção passará a ser através de meios tecnológicos fornecidos pelo sustenta. “Se antes eu utilizava enxada de cabo curto para lavrar a terra, hoje passo a utilizar tractor, com as respectivas alfaias. Isso vai permitir o alargamento dos campos de produção, o que vai aumentar a minha renda familiar e fazer com que eu me torne uma empresária, na base da agricultura. Não faço mais nada se não dedicar a produção de comida na machamba”, disse a beneficiária.
Rogério Sabão, outro beneficiário, residente no distrito de Derre, recebeu um camião. O grande constrangimento, segundo explica, tem sido o escoamento de produtos agrícolas. “Com este meio, vou desenvolver a comercialização com muito mais qualidade. Vou entrar nas zonas recônditas para buscar produtos para o mercado. Isso vai ajudar muito aos produtores que, muitas vezes, produzem para o mercado, mas viam-se impossibilitados de escoar os seus produtos para o mercado. Estou muito feliz, porque a minha renda familiar vai ganhar alguma visibilidade”, disse.
Na cerimónia de entrega dos meios, a secretária de Estado em Zambézia destacou a intervenção do sustenta, que, desde a sua implementação em 2017 a esta parte, já gerou mais de 10 mil postos de trabalho.
“Actualmente, no âmbito do programa sustenta, a província conta com 176 “paces” e 10 mil produtores. Neste período de implementação do Sustenta, de 2020 a 2021, foram alocados 56 tractores e seus implementos e 17 camionetas, para o aumento da produção e produtividade, assim como para promover o uso da mecanização agrícola ao nível da nossa província, contribuindo, assim, para o aumento de parques de máquinas com capacidade de prestar serviços de mecanização agrária”, disse Judith Mussacula aos beneficiários presentes na cerimónia.
Os meios são adquiridos pelos produtores através de esquema de subvenções comparticipadas, ou seja, a título de crédito.
