O Absa Bank Moçambique tornou-se, recentemente, signatário do Pacto Global das Nações Unidas, tornando público o seu compromisso com os Objectivos de Desenvolvimento Sustentável. Neste âmbito, e em alinhamento com os objectivos estratégico de Cidadania apoiou a iniciativa da Fundação SPROWT – a exposição Genderful Society Exhibition, que decorreu entre os dias 7 e 11 de Dezembro, no mesmo espaço que a 17ª edição do Mozambique Fashion Week (MFW).
A fundação SPROWT – Leading and Growing Together, lançada oficialmente no passado dia 10, tem por fim promover a igualdade de género, a educação de qualidade e o desenvolvimento de Moçambique através da valorização da mulher, da criança e das organizações com foco na consciencialização da importância da mulher na sociedade, promoção de valores humanísticos, talentos e habilidades e na aprendizagem centrada no desenvolvimento da criança.
Durante o lançamento desta iniciativa, Tânia Oliveira, Directora do Serviço ao Cliente do Banco, reforçou a relevância do envolvimento do Absa em iniciativas desta natureza, afirmando que “o Absa está comprometido com o desenvolvimento sustentável de Moçambique, sendo esta mais uma das grandes oportunidades para garantir a implementação dos objectivos delineados. A fundação SPROWT tem uma missão muito alinhada com a nossa estratégia de Cidadania, com um foco para a equidade, igualdade de género, diversidade e inclusão”.
Por sua vez, Rumina Fateally Noormahomed, presidente da Fundação SPROWT, reforçou o papel da fundação e desta exposição dizendo que “a primeira exibição da SPROWT intitulada Genderful Society Exhibition, teve como propósito sensibilizar a sociedade moçambicana sobre as questões de género, diversidade e inclusão, através da cultura, alinhado aos Objectivos de Desenvolvimento Sustentável (ODS) da ONU, concretamente o 5º, que elucida questões sobre igualdade de género”.
A SPROWT, no âmbito das celebrações do seu lançamento, realizou quatro sessões de debate em torno das temáticas, “Ética na Liderança”; “Mulheres na Liderança”; “Neutralidade de Género na Moda” e “Diversidade e Inclusão nas Corporações”.
Dada a relevância das temáticas, Luisa Diogo, Presidente do Conselho de Administração do Absa participou no painel “Mulheres na Liderança”, tendo partilhado a sua experiência como mulher líder quer ao nível das corporações quer ao nível do Estado onde realçou a importância do empoderamento da mulher aos vários níveis, desde económico, social e educacional e reforçou a necessidade de termos nas corporações uma liderança autêntica, inclusiva e participativa.
Por seu turno o Administrador Executivo da Banca Corporativa e de Investimentos, Bernardo Aparício, foi convidado a participar no debate acerca da “Diversidade e Inclusão nas Corporações”, no qual deu nota que as corporações deverão ter os valores da inclusão e diversidade vincados e sustentados por uma forte cultura organizacional, e que um dos aspectos fundamentais da diversidade (aos vários níveis) é a capacidade de alargamos o leque de talento na empresa, a inovação e a forte adaptação a um mercado cada vez mais versátil o que permitirá, por seu turno, o crescimento do negócio.
Sendo um dos temas relevantes a inclusão e a diversidade de género, o lançamento culminou com um desfile inclusivo, no Mozambique Fashion Week, com especial enfoque na diversidade de género.
