“A Vale é que construiu, mas este sistema é nosso, por isso temos que proteger e cuidar como cuidamos das nossas coisas em casa”, disse Eugénio Muchanga, Administrador de Moatize, no acto da inauguração do sistema de abastecimento de água. “Os dias de sofrimento para a população que antes percorria distâncias para obter água para o consumo, chegou ao fim”, acrescentou.
Para garantir a durabilidade do sistema, o administrador deixou recomendação à população. “Não deixem pessoas estranhas ou mesmo nossos filhos roubar o painel, porque são vocês que vão voltar a sofrer por causa de falta de água”, disse.
Por sua vez, o representante da Vale, Simão Muhorro, afirmou que a oferta do sistema de abastecimento de água para a população de Moatize reforça o compromisso da empresa em prover meios de sobrevivência sustentáveis para as comunidades.
“Contribuir para o desenvolvimento das famílias circunvizinhas as nossas operações é parte da nossa responsabilidade social. Acreditamos que com acesso à água potável a vida destas comunidades está transformada”, disse.
Esta iniciativa da Vale da entrega do sistema de abastecimento de água acontece no mês que se comemora, o Dia Mundial da Água (22 de Março) e nesse contexto, a empresa e o governo reforçam a mensagem de consciencializar as pessoas da importância da água e da necessidade de não se desperdiçá-la.
