Sob intuito de elevar o nível de serviços no ramo da cocktelaria, decorreu, recentemente, o Maputo Cocktail Week instigado pela Pernod Ricard Moçambique em parceria com a Spice Your Soul. O evento, concebido em prol da necessidade de promover e dignificar a profissão de barman e a ligação da gastronomia à cocktelaria, realçou as marcas da Pernod Ricard ampliando o trabalho dos bartenders nos estabelecimentos de hotelaria e restauração.
Como pano de fundo, o evento destacou a necessidade de valorização dos profissionais da área de bar, através da formação, dignificação de estabelecimentos que desenvolvem a sua actividade bem como a promoção das marcas patrocinadoras, a mixologia a base de produtos locais, e a cocktelaria, destacando o crescente papel do networking na solidificação das relações.
O Maputo Cocktail Week, que decorreu centrado na capital, contemplou profissionais da área de bar, estabelecimentos e marcas, onde foram selecionados 20 espaços e após uma criteriosa seleção com base na deliberação do Júri, foram selecionados 10 bartenders nacionais, profissionais da área de bar no ativo que passaram a final.
Na ocasião, o director Geral da Pernod Ricard Moçambique, Francisco Júnior, referiu que “servimo-nos desta oportunidade para agradecer aos estabelecimentos que decidiram aderir a esta iniciativa pela vontade manifestada de elevar o papel e as funções do barman. Nós como Pernod Ricard não podíamos estar alheios a uma iniciativa como esta, motivo pelo qual decidimos contribuir por meio desta acção para elevação dos serviços que os nossos profissionais oferecem”.
