Nacala Logistics presta apoio às vítimas da tempestade Ana avaliado em mais de 4 milhões
A Nacala Logistics juntou-se aos Governos das Províncias de Niassa e de Nampula para prestar apoio solidário às vítimas da tempestade Ana.
Trata-se de uma ajuda avaliada em cerca quatro milhões e quinhentos mil meticais (4.500.000 MT) e visa cobrir perdas actuais e futuras às vítimas de desastres naturais em Nampula e Niassa.
Através de um Memorando de Entendimento (MdE) celebrado a 17 de Fevereiro entre as empresas do Corredor de Nacala e o Instituto Nacional de Gestão e Redução de Riscos de Desastres (INGD), a Nacala Logistics está a dar algum conforto as famílias que perderam quase tudo o que tinham.
“Hoje estamos aqui para fazer a entrega de um total de 915 cestas básicas compostas por produtos de primeira necessidade, como farinha, arroz, feijão, óleo, açúcar, sal”, disse o representante da Nacala Logistics, Tomás Macovela, falando na manhã de quinta-feira, 17 de Fevereiro, em Nampula, no acto de entrega da ajuda humanitária ao INGD. “Este pacote de assistência alimentar cobre as províncias de Nampula e Niassa, que são atravessadas pela linha férrea”, explicou.
A ajuda está avaliada em cerca 4 milhões e quinhentos mil meticais (70 000 dólares norte-americanos) e visa cobrir também futuras perdas de culturas e de outros bens, causadas pelas chuvas, durante a época chuvosa em curso, que só termina no final de Março próximo. “O apoio da Nacala Logistics vem num momento oportuno para atender a situação de Namina, onde muitas famílias ficaram afectadas.
Numa primeira fase, o INGD deu um kit alimentar e agora completamos com o que acabamos de receber da Nacala Logistics que certamente vai servir de conforto àquelas famílias afectadas pelas chuvas”, disse Alberto Armando, Delegado do INGD em Nampula. “Com este donativo reforçamos o nosso stock para apoio às vítimas de futuras inundações ao longo da linha”, acrescentou.
