MFW 2017 promove jovens designers
O Vodacom Mozambique Fashion Week que decorreu entre os dias 1 e 10 de Dezembro, na capital do país, serviu para aumentar o orgulho dos moçambicanos em usar o produto nacional e valorizar a criatividade dos estilistas.
Os tecidos que carregam a imagem do País, sem fugir do lema do MFW, “feel our colors”, a 13ª edição do maior evento de moda nacional juntou 62 modelos e 55 estilistas, divididos em quatro categorias, Young Designers, Internacionais, Estabelecidos e Pan Africanos.
O MFW juntou várias culturas e consolidou a imagem de Moçambique no mapa da moda. Durante a 13ª edição do Vodacom Mozambique Fashion Week com a realização da primeira gala dos Fashion Awards que consistiu no reconhecimento de diversas personalidades e iniciativas ligadas à moda referentes aos anos 2016/7.
Onze estilistas emergentes de diversas universidades e escolas secundárias da Cidade e Província de Maputo apresentaram as suas propostas de tendências de vestuários.
O Barclays, no âmbito da sua responsabilidade social, está empenhada em estimular a consolidação da indústria de moda nacional. Os Young Designers receberam o desafio de apresentar as colecções inspiradas na imagem do referido banco.
Ricardina Adelino, foi nomeada The best Young Designers, cujo prémio consistiu em um cheque no valor de 15 mil meticais. No entanto, Alberto Pitoco, Director do Departamento de Tesouraria daquela instituição bancária sublinhou que a contribuição do Barclays surge em jeito de valorização do talento dos estilistas nacionais.
“Que a moda moçambicana não se firme apenas no mercado nacional, mas também nos outros países”, apelou.
