O auditório do BCI, em Maputo, acolheu a dias (31 de Maio), o lançamento do seriado “A natureza dos homens e dos animais’’, uma obra de ficção da Ébano Multimedia, realizada por Licínio de Azevedo e Gabriel Mondlane, com a direcção de produção a cargo do académico Jorge Ferrão. O lançamento enquadrou-se nas actividadaes desenvolvidas em prol da biodiversidade, cujo dia mundial é celebrado anualmente a 22 de Maio.
O Administrador do BCI Luís Aguiar indicou, na ocasião, que a concretização deste projecto cinematográfico reveste-se “de enorme simbolismo, não só no quadro da nossa parceria, mas numa perspectiva geral de política de conservação do meio ambiente em Moçambique”.
A obra conta com a participação de membros da comunidade de Madjadjane e, segundo Licínio de Azevedo, “as histórias foram recolhidas ali na comunidade, mas é um seriado ficcional, baseado e inspirado em histórias reais” disse, esclarecendo que todos os fiscais são profissionais do parque, “e isso nos facilitou bastante, porque trabalhar com actores naquelas condições seria bastante difícil, porque se deve usar armas, andar no meio de animais, em situações às vezes perigosas”.
Luís Bernardo Honwana, Director Executivo da Fundação para a Conservação da Biodiversidade (BIOFUND), agradeceu a parceria com o BCI “que já fez coisas importantes para a biodiversidade em Moçambique, dentre as quais um projecto de recuperação de uma espécie em vias de extinção: raphia australis, uma espécie que abunda na zona entre Marracuene e Manhiça”.
Por seu turno, a Directora Geral da Administração Nacional das Áreas de Conservação (ANAC), Celmira da Silva, agradeceu, em particular, os parceiros envolvidos. “Depois de tantos investimentos, somos capazes de ver neste seriado que afinal todos eles desembocam numa melhoria de consciência e aumento de responsabilidade em relação à protecção da biodiversidade” frisou.
