Estados Unidos Distinguem Exportadores de Moçambique na Segunda Cerimónia Anual de Entrega de Prémios aos Exportadores
No dia 11 de Agosto, a Directora da Missão da USAID Helen Pataki, acompanhada por Sua Excelência o Ministro da Indústria e Comércio, Silvino Augusto José Moreno, Sua Excelência o Governador da Província de Maputo, Júlio Parruque, e outros parceiros, reconheceu os contínuos sucessos dos exportadores moçambicanos em 2022.
Esta foi a segunda edição do Prémio Anual do Exportador, uma colaboração entre o Governo dos Estados Unidos, a Agência de Promoção de Investimentos e Exportações (APIEX), e a Confederação das Associações Económicas de Moçambique (CTA).
O evento dos Prémios Exportadores 2022 serviu simultaneamente para o lançamento oficial da 57ª edição da Feira Internacional de Comércio de Maputo (FACIM 2022).
Os vencedores da cerimónia do Prémio Exportador deste ano são:
- Exportador do Ano: Nova Sun Limitada
- Exportador do ano em segundo lugar: Beluzi Bananas Lda
- Melhor Exportador para o Mercado da África do Sul: Murrimo Macadâmia
- Melhor Exportador para o Mercado dos Estados Unidos: Chá de Magoma
- Prémio Revelação (pelo impacto social através do desenvolvimento comunitário): Sunshine Nuts
Os vencedores do prémio, todos eles exportadores de produtos agrícolas tais como frutos secos, bananas e chá, sublinharam a necessidade de diversificar o sector de exportação moçambicano. Este prémio incentiva e encoraja as empresas exportadoras em Moçambique a continuarem a explorar formas inovadoras de melhorar a sua competitividade regional de exportação e a exportarem os seus produtos para todo o mundo bem como para o mercado dos E.U.A., utilizando a Lei de Crescimento e Oportunidade de África (AGOA).
Pataki, Directora da Missão da USAID, elogiou a colaboração contínua entre os Estados Unidos e Moçambique no apoio ao sector privado, cujos resultados são ilustrados pelos vencedores dos prémios.
“O governo dos E.U.A. partilha uma visão com todos os nossos parceiros para promover o papel do crescimento económico liderado pelo sector privado”, disse a Directora Pataki.
Salientou ainda que a USAID e o governo mais amplo dos E.U.A. estão empenhados em promover um crescimento económico inclusivo, sustentado e resiliente nos países em desenvolvimento, incluindo Moçambique”.
