A Ernst & Young (EY) assinou, na quinta-feira, dia 1 de Dezembro, um memorando de entendimento com a AIESEC – Associação Internacional de Estudantes de Economia e Ciências Comerciais, nas instalações da EY, em Maputo.
Esta parceria tem como principal objectivo desenvolver e implementar um conjunto de programas ligados ao EY Ripples, um projecto de responsabilidade corporativa que através das habilidades, conhecimento e experiência dos colaboradores da EY, pretende ajudar e impactar positivamente a sociedade, para que todos possam ter um futuro equitativo e sustentável.
No âmbito deste acordo, um dos três programas a ser implementado será o ‘Spark’, um projecto destinado a jovens dos 14 aos 17 anos. Serão realizadas palestras, avaliações e conversas com profissionais de diversas áreas, para que os jovens se sintam inspirados e motivados para o futuro. Os adolescentes do ensino secundário irão ter ainda a oportunidade de visitar os escritórios da EY, onde poderão acompanhar o dia-a-dia dos diversos departamentos da Consultora.
A pensar nos jovens universitários e recém-licenciados em economia, gestão e engenharia, esta parceria irá também lançar o programa ‘Accelerate’, atribuído a jovens com idades compreendidas entre os 20 e 25 anos. Os inscritos terão a oportunidade de participar em sessões de treino em habilidades técnicas nas suas áreas de atuação.
Para Paulo Reis, sócio-gerente do Escritório EY em Maputo e também líder do departamento de Auditoria, é importante que as empresas e outras entidades acompanhem e tenham um papel activo no processo de inserção dos jovens no mercado de trabalho. Segundo aquele responsável, “esta parceria com a AIESEC será uma oportunidade para que os jovens explorem e desenvolvam as suas capacidades, de forma a estarem mais bem preparados para o seu primeiro emprego”, reforçando que “através deste programa se está a apostar na formação profissional dos jovens, contribuindo para que todos tenham uma carreira promissora e para que o país tenha mais profissionais qualificados”.
O terceiro programa a ser desenvolvido será o ‘Climate Ideation Clinics’, um projecto focado nas mudanças climáticas, um dos temas mais discutidos na actualidade. O principal objetivo passa por aprender e identificar soluções inovadoras sobre mudanças climáticas nos sectores da EY. “Não podemos ignorar os problemas associados às mudanças climáticas”. “É importante que contornemos este desafio através da criação de soluções e serviços de sustentabilidade”, referiu ainda Paulo Reis.
Presente em Moçambique desde 2000, a AIESEC é uma organização global, não-governamental e sem fins lucrativos liderada por jovens. Tem como objectivo contribuir para o desenvolvimento pessoal e profissional através de programas de liderança, estágios e experiências globais de intercâmbio.
