A Ernst & Young (EY) realizou recentemente uma palestra ligada ao programa Spark, um programa de responsabilidade corporativa da Consultora, em parceria com a Associação Internacional de Estudantes de Economia e Ciências Comerciais (AIESEC).
Este encontro, que decorreu nos escritórios da EY, em Maputo, contou com a presença dos 35 melhores alunos das 10º e 11º classes da Escola Secundária da Liberdade e da Escola Secundária de Nkobe.
O principal objectivo do programa Spark é incentivar os jovens a seguirem as suas paixões e interesses, e ajudá-los a descobrir que curso ou profissão gostariam de seguir no futuro.
A Equipa de Consultoria de Tecnologias de Informação (IT), que conduziu parte da palestra, falou um pouco sobre o conceito de informática, os desafios que enfrentam diariamente e explicaram, ainda, quais são as ferramentas necessárias para que um jovem se torne num IT de referência.
De acordo com Izidino Matlava, Presidente da AIESEC em Moçambique, “este programa permite que os jovens fiquem com uma ideia mais nítida do leque de profissões que existem, para que com base nas suas vocações e interesses, se sintam mais seguros para fazer escolhas no futuro”. O mesmo responsável reforçou a ideia de que através deste programa esperam capacitar cada vez mais jovens moçambicanos.
A sessão permitiu também que os alunos conhecessem os serviços e valores da Ernst&Young, bem como o percurso profissional e académico de alguns colaboradores das áreas de Auditoria, Contabilidade e Fiscalidade.
“A experiência dos alunos terem contacto directo, conhecerem algumas histórias de profissionais de diferentes departamentos, perceberem como é o nosso dia-a-dia, pode inspirá-los e quem sabe atraí-los para áreas que existem na EY”, sustentou Iara Silva, Manager do Departamento de Consulting na EY Moçambique.
Os estudantes tiveram ainda a oportunidade de realizar um teste vocacional, uma ajuda para descobrirem aptidões, habilidades e conhecerem melhor a sua personalidade. “Esta ferramenta permite que os alunos reflitam sobre quais são as profissões ou cursos que podem vir a seguir e o conjunto de respostas que vão obter poderá dar uma luz sobre o possível percurso profissional no futuro”, explicou a Manager de Consulting da EY.
Celeste Mazane, aluna da 11º classe da Escola Secundária Nkobe, destacou esta iniciativa como positiva. “Com esta sessão aprendi muito e despertei interesse para áreas sobre as quais não tinha conhecimento, agora já consigo ter mais noção”, referiu a aluna. Todos os alunos receberam certificados de participação.
A AIESEC é uma organização sem fins lucrativos, dirigida por estudantes e recém-formados de instituições de ensino superior, destinada a jovens que queiram explorar e desenvolver o seu potencial de liderança.
